Our Staff
Bird’s Eye View
Team Bird’s Eye View is Outright Vermont’s high-level organizational leadership. This team is responsible for ensuring effective and generative collaboration across the organization, including within and among all other teams, and holds the organization accountable to our mission, vision, and values at every level.
Essential Alchemy
Team Essential Alchemy manages the administrative details that keep the gears turning behind the scenes at Outright. Fundraising, organizational development, resource management, internal and external communications and office management all are held by mighty Team Essential Alchemy.
Transforming
Team Transforming works to shape environments where youth don’t have to fear harm, where their voices and expertise are recognized and celebrated and they are able to grow and learn. Their strategy is twofold: they support youth power through offering leadership opportunities, and they equip adults to engage wholeheartedly in collaboration with the young people in their lives.
Self & Families
Team Self & Families ensures that Vermont’s LGBTQ+ youth and their families have access to supportive peers. Through social and support groups and gatherings, including the magical Camp Outright, they make space for LGBTQ+ youth and their families to gather without the threat of harm, experience community and queer joy, and flourish as their best selves through finding their people.
Youth Organizers
In this year-long program, Youth Organizers collaborate with each other, Outright staff, allied youth in their region, and the statewide GSA Network to create positive change in their schools and communities across Vermont. There are 12 Youth Organizers in the 2024-2025 cohort. Meet some of them below!
