Mike Pieciak
Mike knows that it is critical to the future of Vermont that we show up for LGBTQ+ youth today. By having their backs and sharing the resources that their schools, families, communities, and supporters need, we make it possible for them to flourish as leaders and shape a kinder and more livable Vermont.
Impressed with the work and mission of Outright, Mike jumped at the chance to join the board! As a member of the Finance Committee, Mike aims to build a sustainable future for the organization and deepen Outright’s engagement in every corner of the state. His ability to strive toward collaboration and bring people together makes him an awesome board member and collaborator.
Mike holds a B.S. in political science from Union College and a law degree from the University of Miami. He was elected Vermont’s State Treasurer in 2022 and previously served as the Vermont Department of Financial Regulation Commissioner.
As a kid growing up in Brattleboro, Mike decided to become a lawyer after watching the 1992 comedy My Cousin Vinny! Currently, he resides in Winooski with his partner Will and their English setter, Jetty.
