Delanté Keys

Development Coordinator — they/he

As Outright’s Development Coordinator, Delanté implements and anchors the systems and processes that drive our fundraising program forward in service of building a Vermont where all LGBTQ+ youth have hope, equity, and power!

Growing up Black and Queer in Washington, D.C., Delanté spent a great deal of their youth focused on survival. They know that today’s youth deserve better, and they are committed to building a less fractured and more empathetic community where those who are Queer, Black, underrepresented, overlooked, or underserved have the safety, support, and connections to choose their invaluable path and thrive as the best possible versions of themselves.

Delanté is also an active theatre artist focused on utilizing theatre to serve a more joyous & liberated community. They received their BFA in Acting from Arcadia University and have since been involved in productions in the greater regions of Philly, PA, Austin, TX, and now Vermont. Delanté has also had the honor of using theatre to amplify youth voices here in Vermont, through the Champlain Valley Union High School Theatre, Education Justice Coalition BIPOC Summer Camp, Burlington City & Lake, and Flynn Center for the Performing Arts.

In his spare time, Delanté might be spotted kayaking on Lake Champlain, knitting in a hammock, hiking a new trail, catching a soccer match, gardening, dancing, or in the process of making a new friend.
