Tween Group
Introducing Tween Group: a new program for queer and gender creative youth ages 10–12! Join us on the first Thursday and third Sunday of each month at Outright Vermont’s Burlington youth space and at community locations across the state for new friends, fun activities, and a gay ol’ time!
It’s all about queer and trans joy, connection, and community.
-
1st Thursdays of each month from 4:00 - 6:00 pm
-
3rd Sundays of each month from 2:00 - 4:00 pm
Tween Group is FREE to attend and snacks are provided! We’ll have a mix of open social time and engaging youth-led activities — giving space for both spontaneous fun and intentional connection.
Tween Group is co-facilitated by trained adult staff and volunteers along with skilled and trusted youth - including Outright Youth Organizers, Camp Leaders in Training, and other teen and young adult volunteers who bring energy, experience, and understanding.
This new program creates even more ways for youth 12 and under to connect, grow, and thrive together!
Why Tween Group? We’re responding to the many young people over the years who have told us they’re ready for an independent social space, but not yet within the age range for Friday Night Group. Building on the success of Camp BranchOUT for youth 10-12, this is a youth-only space designed just for you! So if you’ve been waiting to turn 13 in order to attend Friday Night Group - Happy early birthday!
This program is for youth only. Want to bring the whole family to Outright? Youth 12 and under are invited to bring their parents, caregivers, and siblings to join Gender Creative Kids, our ongoing second Sunday family program.
