Film Screening with ALOK Vaid-Menon

All are invited to a special evening celebrating the legacy of LGBTQ+ activist Urvashi Vaid with a screening of There Are Things To Do—a powerful short film honoring her activism, life with partner Kate Clinton, and the roadmap she created for generations navigating today’s anti-LGBTQ+ backlash.

Capacity is limited—RSVP by Tuesday, April 8, 2025!

Ahead of her time, Urvashi Vaid had a vision that we share:

“We call for the end of bigotry as we know it. The end of racism as we know it. The end of child abuse in the family as we know it. The end of sexism as we know it. The end of homophobia as we know it. We stand for freedom as we have yet to know it. And we will not be denied.”

*Vaid’s speech at the 1993 March on Washington for Lesbian, Gay, and Bi Equal Rights and Liberation.

BIG Bonus! We are thrilled to welcome Urvashi Vaid’s nibling, poet, public speaker, actor, activist, and comedian ALOK Vaid-Menon, who will join us for the screening and brief remarks!

This multi-generational gathering is an opportunity to reflect on the past, present, and future of queer activism. Open to all ages, we look forward to sharing this moment with you.
