We're on Gaycation. Our programs are still here for you.

This week marks two important traditions at Outright.

As another joyful Camp Outright comes to a close, our staff is preparing for our annual Gaycation. From Monday, July 20 through Friday, July 31, our office will be closed while we collectively unplug, rest, and recharge. (Rest is resistance!)

Here's what you need to know:

• Youth and family social and support groups will continue as scheduled, thanks to our incredible volunteer facilitators. You can always find the latest information on our calendar.

• If you need additional support while our office is closed, our Crisis, Health, and Legal Resources page is available anytime.

Gaycation is one way we live into our values, because caring for ourselves and each other is an integral part of building the Vermont LGBTQ+ youth deserve. Rest helps us show up as our best and most fabulous selves - with energy, creativity, and the resilience to be in this work for the long haul.

That same commitment to care comes to life at Camp Outright, where another incredible summer is drawing to a close.

As each camper heads home, they're carrying a little slice of Camp in the form of a Heck Yeah bag covered in artwork and overflowing with handwritten notes of affirmation from new friends and trusted counselors.

They're carrying home something else, too: the joy of being fully themselves. The confidence that comes from being celebrated. The quiet, transformative certainty that they belong.

Those are the things that endure long after camp ends - and they're the reason we'll return from Gaycation rested, renewed, and ready for the season ahead.

We'll be back on Monday, August 3, ready to continue building the community LGBTQ+ youth deserve.
