Take Action. Get Resources. <3
Since the election, our inboxes and phone lines have been full of your voices—LGBTQ+ and allied youth, parents, caregivers, educators, elected officials, and adult allies. We’ve heard your questions about gender-affirming care, your worries about how to best support LGBTQ+ youth, and your determination to stand up for what’s right. We feel that same concern, that same urgency—and most importantly, the power of standing together.
You’re not alone. In times like these, community and connection are what keep us grounded, safe, and strong. Whatever comes next, we’ll face it side-by-side. Together, we’ll keep fighting, loving, and building a world where every LGBTQ+ young person can thrive—where they are seen, celebrated, and free.
We’ve included some helpful resources, upcoming events, and evergreen steps you can take to support LGBTQ+ youth. Your voice is needed now, so please, friends, read on.

KNOW YOUR RIGHTS: INFO SESSION FOR PARENTS & CAREGIVERS OF TRANS & GENDER CREATIVE YOUTH
Be sure to register TODAY for this event. Outright Vermont will partner with Vermont Legal Aid and the ACLU of Vermont to host a virtual information session for parents and caregivers of transgender and gender creative youth. We will cover current Vermont policies and law related to access to gender affirming health care, shield laws, and changing gender markers on important documents. We will also discuss potential legislative and administrative actions the state could take to further protect trans youth. Attorneys and legal advocates will be available to answer questions and give intake or education resource referrals.
Pre-registration is required. This event will be held online.
If you have any questions, please email amelia@outrightvt.org
