Greetings! I hope you are doing well and enjoying the end of summer. It was great to meet so many folks at Vermont Pride (and to sell you all t-shirts!). We had so much fun at Pride and appreciate all the folks that volunteered to make sure that queer youth had a safe place to hang out during the festivities. Thanks also to all the folks that attended the Pre-Primary Gubernatorial Forum and Vermont Drag Idol.

Would you be terribly surprised if I mentioned that things are busy at Outright? We are gearing up for Outright’s annual Fire Truck Pull and Queer Youth Awards Celebration and Silent Auction, as well as preparing materials to be mailed out to all the middle and high schools across Vermont. We are also getting ready to co-host a Gubernatorial Candidate Forum on October 6th. All the candidates on the November ballot will be invited to this forum, and we’re hoping to hold it somewhere in Montpelier (TBA).

Did you get your copy of the 2010 Youth Pride Report yet? It’s gorgeous thanks to the amazing design work of Randy Morey. If you didn’t get a copy in the mail and would like one, please let me know.

Also, if you LOVE the shirts displayed throughout the report (and how could you not?), they are both available for sale at Outright for $15.00 ($20.00 if you need it mailed). Thanks to the Outright Board for creating the shirts. All proceeds from t-shirts sales benefit Outright.
