Greetings. What a delightful and busy month it has been at Outright! The Fourth Annual GSA Conference/Queer Pride/Funders Caucus/Queer Prom on May 8th was amazing. We had 151 participants at our conference, and 100 of those youth, plus 50 new youth, attended prom. The successes of the day would not have been possible without the generous support of our sponsors, the Montpelier High School GSA, Physicians Computer Company, and the Vermont Community Foundation, plus the efforts of the Outright staff, volunteers, interns, and Board of Directors. A gigantic thank you to all of you for helping, and to all the youth for attending and presenting. At the conference, youth participated in a Priority Setting Session, where they voted on what Outright’s priorities should be for the 2010-2011 school year. Priorities selected include:

* More education for teachers and administrators
* Connecting GSAs to each other
* More spaces for queer youth to just hang out across the state
* Creating queer youth interest groups

We are excited to cheer for Outright runners in the marathon at the end of May, Drag Idol is coming soon, and the Fire Truck Pull planning is underway. Have questions, need more information, or want to make a suggestion? Please email me at Melissa@outrightvt.org.
