Youth StandOUT Awardees Announced for October 1st Dinner

Today, Outright Vermont announced the honorees of its first annual Youth Awards Dinner, being held Thursday October 1st at the Echo Center in Burlington. This event will recognize six youth for their outstanding work in the community and the Gay/Straight Alliance (GSA) of the Year. The dinner will also inaugurate the William J. Lippert Jr. Leadership Award, named for community advocate and Vermont State Representative Bill Lippert of Hinesburg. The six youth to be honored as 2009 StandOUT awardees were selected by their peers and include:
Robyn Bailey of St. Michael’s College;
Ashley Gabbeitt of Rutland High School;
Kyle Giard-Chase of South Burlington High School;
Dave Kingsbury of Burlington High School;
James Neiley of Champlain Valley Union High School; and
Timothy Williams of Johnson State College.
